About Rachel

Rachel’s work is rooted in helping people feel steady again after an injury has made life complicated. She takes what feels confusing and overwhelming, explains it in plain language, and handles the legal work carefully so clients can focus on healing, family, and the next right step.

For Rachel, good legal representation should reduce stress, not add to it. That means clear communication, thoughtful preparation, honest guidance, and a commitment to doing the work the right way, without unnecessary drama or shortcuts.

Seattle Personal Injury & Workers’ Compensation Attorney

At Scott & Scott, PLLC, Rachel represents individuals throughout Washington State in personal injury, car accident, and workers’ compensation claims. Her practice focuses on helping people navigate the uncertainty that often follows a serious injury, including insurance issues, medical treatment, lost wages, and Washington Labor & Industries claims.

Rachel is a third generation Seattle attorney, following in the footsteps of her father Brian and her grandfather before him. She has represented injured people throughout Washington for twenty five years and brings deep knowledge of Washington personal injury law, workers’ compensation, and the practical realities of how insurance claims move through the real world.

Rachel understands that after an accident, life does not simply pause. Clients are often balancing medical appointments, work responsibilities, financial concerns, family obligations, and the emotional weight of trying to hold everything together while navigating a system they have never had to deal with before.

She is known for being calm, responsive, organized, and approachable. Clients appreciate her ability to explain complicated legal and insurance issues clearly without making them feel overwhelmed or left in the dark about their own case.

Rachel takes time to understand how an injury is affecting someone’s actual day to day life, not just the information contained in medical records or insurance documents. She believes every client deserves thoughtful guidance, honest communication, and an attorney who genuinely cares about helping them regain a sense of stability during a difficult time.

Whether helping someone recover after a Seattle car accident, a workplace injury, or a complex insurance dispute, Rachel is committed to handling the details carefully, communicating clearly, and building the case around the real human story behind the legal claim.

Who Rachel Helps

Rachel frequently works with professionals, parents, caregivers, and working adults throughout Washington whose lives have been unexpectedly disrupted by injury.

Her clients are often people who are used to being dependable, organized, and capable under pressure. When an accident suddenly creates uncertainty, medical appointments, insurance issues, and financial stress, they want clear guidance from someone they trust to handle things thoughtfully and professionally.

Rachel helps clients simplify complex situations, protect what matters most, and move forward with greater confidence and peace of mind. Consultations are free, and there is no fee unless she recovers compensation for you.

Beyond the Office

Rachel was born and raised in Seattle, third-generation in a city she knows by feel. Her life outside the office is full: two kids, deep friendships, a lot of travel, and more live music than most people think is reasonable.

Music is not a hobby for Rachel. It is part of who she is. She follows artists she loves across the country, collects experiences the way other people collect objects, and finds in live music something that is genuinely hard to put into words: the way a room full of strangers can become a community for a few hours, and what it feels like to be completely present inside that. KEXP has been part of her Seattle life for years, both as a listener and as a supporter, because it represents the same thing she values in music generally: something real, something local, something that matters.

That orientation toward presence and community is also what drew her to Trial Lawyers College, and what keeps her there. Rachel is a graduate of the program and serves on the board of the F-Warriors, its alumni organization. TLC is not a traditional CLE. It is built around experiential work, storytelling, and the conviction that the best lawyers are the ones who can genuinely see and hold the experience of another person. That kind of training changes how you listen. It changes what you notice. Rachel carries it into her client work in ways that are hard to separate from everything else she does.

Her life outside the office and her work inside it are not as distinct as they might look on paper. The same things that make her good at one tend to show up in the other.
