For more than fifty years, Brian Scott has represented injured people in Washington with steady judgment, practical experience, and a deep commitment to helping clients through some of the most difficult moments in their lives.
Brian D. Scott has spent his legal career representing individuals and families in personal injury, product liability, and workers compensation matters. Since being admitted to practice in 1972, Brian has brought a calm, experienced, and thoughtful approach to helping injured people navigate legal systems that can feel overwhelming and unfamiliar.
Before entering private practice, Brian served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington from 1972 to 1974. That early public service experience helped shape the careful, grounded approach he has carried throughout his career.
Brian’s work has long focused on representing people whose lives have been disrupted by injury, including those facing medical uncertainty, lost income, disability, and disputes with insurers or government systems. His practice has emphasized preparation, credibility, and a practical understanding of how injury claims affect real people and their families.
At Scott & Scott, PLLC, Brian’s decades of practice remain part of the firm’s foundation: steady judgment, careful case evaluation, honest communication, and a belief that injured people deserve to be guided through the process with dignity and care.
Scott & Scott was founded by Brian and his daughter, Rachel Scott, in 2016. Together, they built a family firm rooted in Washington legal experience, clear client communication, and careful advocacy for people whose lives have been changed by injury. Brian’s long career remains an important part of that history, while the firm continues to serve clients with a modern, personal, and client centered approach.
Brian is a lifelong Washingtonian and has called the Seattle area home for more than sixty years. His connection to the region runs through his family, his professional life, and the communities he has been part of for decades.
Brian has three grown children, including Rachel Scott. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, staying active through racquetball, gathering with friends, and spending time near the water.
He is also a devoted Seattle sports fan. Brian is an original Seahawks season ticket holder and continues to follow the Seahawks, Kraken, and Mariners. His long history in Washington is part of what has shaped his practical, community rooted approach to practicing law and serving injured people throughout the state.
