Scott & Scott, PLLC | Seattle Personal Injury & Workers' Compensation Attorneys
About Scott & Scott, PLLC
A Seattle personal injury law firm helping injured people move forward with clarity, care, and confidence.
Who We Are
Scott & Scott, PLLC was built around a simple belief: when an injury disrupts your life, your lawyer should help make the path forward clearer, lighter, and more manageable.
We are not here to make an already stressful season feel more complicated. We are here to listen, explain what matters, protect your recovery, and do the legal work carefully from start to finish.
Scott & Scott is a family firm led by father and daughter attorneys Brian Scott and Rachel Scott. Brian has practiced law in Seattle for more than fifty years. Rachel is a third generation Seattle attorney who carries that foundation forward with twenty-five years of her own client centered approach. Together, they bring more than seventy five years of combined Washington legal experience to the people they represent.
That history matters, but it is not the whole story. What matters most is how we serve clients now: with clear communication, thoughtful preparation, steady judgment, and a genuine commitment to helping injured people feel less alone in a process that can feel cold, confusing, and unfair.
When you call Scott & Scott, you are not a case number moving through a system. You are a person whose health, work, family, stability, and future matter.
The Hard Part Nobody Talks About
A serious accident can change everything quickly. Your body hurts. Medical appointments take over your calendar. Work becomes harder or impossible. Bills start arriving. Insurance companies ask questions, delay decisions, and make a process that is already stressful feel even more confusing.
At the same time, you may be trying to keep your family, your job, and your life moving forward.
That is where we come in.
We are a Seattle personal injury law firm focused on helping injured people understand their rights, protect their recovery, and pursue the compensation they deserve. We represent clients injured in car crashes, pedestrian accidents, bicycle accidents, premises liability cases, including slip and fall injuries, dog bites and animal attacks, traumatic brain injuries, wrongful death claims, product related injuries, and other serious injury matters.
We also represent injured workers in Washington workers’ compensation claims, including L&I disputes, time loss, vocational issues, medical treatment disputes, claim closure, and related Washington Labor and Industries matters.
How We Work
We listen first. Then we simplify the process and build the case with care.
Every strong personal injury case starts with understanding the person behind the claim.
We take time to learn what happened, how you were injured, and how your life has changed since the accident. Pain, medical treatment, missed work, disrupted routines, family responsibilities, and uncertainty about the future all matter. Those details help us understand the full impact of the injury and build a case that reflects what you have actually been through.
From there, we make the legal process clearer. We explain what information is needed, what steps come next, and how the claim is likely to move forward. We gather records, document injuries, identify damages, communicate with insurance companies, evaluate settlement options, and prepare each case with care.
Our clients should understand the process without having to manage it alone. Our job is to carry the legal burden, protect your rights, and help you make informed decisions. Whether your case resolves through negotiation, arbitration, mediation, or litigation, we approach the work with preparation, persistence, and a clear focus on your recovery.
Our Mission
To help injured people feel supported, informed, and protected during one of the hardest seasons of their lives.
Most people do not plan for a personal injury claim. They are suddenly pulled into a process they never expected to navigate, often while they are in pain, missing work, or trying to understand what their medical future will look like.
Our mission is to make that process clearer and less overwhelming. We help clients understand what is happening, what matters, and what choices they have. We deal with insurance companies, claims representatives, medical records, bills, wage loss issues, legal deadlines, negotiations, and the strategy needed to move a case toward resolution.
But good legal representation is not just about paperwork and negotiation. It is also about helping people feel less alone.
At Scott & Scott, we take time to understand the full impact of an injury: the body, the work, the family, the routines, the independence, and the peace of mind. Then we use the law, the evidence, and our experience to tell that story clearly and pursue the full and fair compensation you deserve.
A Personal Approach to Injury Law
Because an injury affects more than the person who was hurt.
A serious injury does not happen in isolation. It can change how a person works, parents, sleeps, drives, moves, earns, plans, and participates in daily life. It can shift responsibilities inside a household. It can add stress to marriages, children, caregiving, finances, and routines that used to feel manageable.
At Scott & Scott, we understand that a personal injury case is not just about medical bills or an insurance claim. It is about the life that was interrupted.
That is why we take time to get to know our clients. We want to understand what happened, what changed, and what support is needed to move forward. Some losses are easy to document. Others are harder to explain unless someone is willing to listen carefully and ask the right questions. We build cases around that fuller picture.
Personal Injury Cases We Handle
Car Accidents
Car crashes can leave people dealing with pain, medical bills, vehicle damage, lost income, and insurance questions almost immediately. We help clients understand their rights, document their injuries, and pursue compensation for the full impact of the collision.
Pedestrian and Bicycle Accidents
When a driver hits a pedestrian or cyclist, the injuries can be serious and life changing. These cases require careful investigation, strong documentation, and a clear explanation of how the injury has affected every part of the client’s life.
Traumatic Brain Injury
Traumatic brain injury cases require a thorough understanding of how cognitive, physical, and emotional changes ripple through every aspect of a person’s life. We document those impacts carefully and pursue the full picture of what the injury has taken.
Premises Liability and Slip and Fall
Unsafe property conditions can cause serious injuries. We help clients evaluate what happened, identify responsible parties, gather the evidence needed to support the claim, and pursue compensation for the harm caused.
Dog Bites and Animal Attacks
Dog bite injuries can involve physical trauma, scarring, emotional distress, and lasting effects. We help injured people and families understand their options and move through the claim process with support.
Wrongful Death
When a family loses someone because of another party’s negligence, the legal process is only one part of what they face. We approach wrongful death matters with care, clarity, and a deep respect for what the family is going through.
Serious and Catastrophic Injury Claims
Some injuries affect a person’s life for months, years, or permanently. We help clients document not only the immediate harm but the long term consequences for work, mobility, family life, independence, and future care.
Workers’ Compensation
Support for injured workers in Washington.
While personal injury is the primary focus of our firm, we also represent injured workers in Washington workers’ compensation claims.
Workplace injuries can create a different kind of stress. You may be dealing with L&I, a self insured employer, time loss benefits, medical treatment disputes, vocational issues, claim closure, or uncertainty about what benefits are available. We help injured workers understand the process, protect their rights, and move through the claim with more confidence.
